It is NICE to see that I'm not the only one that chooses to center on a reality based world.

The "tube" needs to go. There are far, far too many social ills (as mentioned above) that are directly attributable to our society turning from facing life head on, to a life of "dropping out" (now I date myself I suppose) firmly planted in front of the tube with far too many unhealthy foods and sodas close at hand.

Equally there are an ever growing number of illnesses that in some way can be linked to sitting for hours in a semi trance-like state in front of the tube.

What a pathetic thing this is...this is a great country, but I fear for our future as this downward spiral continues.

That being said, I too like to watch the ~occasional~ (read as rare) DVD...but I deliberatly choose not to get outside (cable) TV.

Let's face it, as a species, we thrive on movement. Movement equals life through better health (mental and physical). So that being said, it's time to get outside myself.

Wonderful blog, please keep up the great work.

Thanks,

M. - Michael Terry
