    Changes, changes, changes... Print E-mail

Have you noticed that when the seasons change your life goes into some sort of limbo for a week or two? Mine sure does.  We get our sleep cycles out of whack, feel vaguely disoriented and out of step, and then we find our place and get rolling again.

They call it change of life... Print E-mail
    October 26, 2008
After all the years of more than ample fertility, I figured I would really enjoy hitting "the change of life."  I don't fear getting older...hey, it's not like we have any choice!  Problem is, I don't know when it will happen.  None of the women living in my family seem to know because they all had hysterectomies before they were 45. "Sometime in your fifties," is all they could guess.

I spend more than the usual amount of time on the web. I post content on a series of regional portals, on several blogs, and for a host of web clients who have hired me. I've been doing web work since 1996, back in the day when we still coded in notepad. I love the ways the web has developed into a multimedia platform where my clients can make audio and video available in addition to text.

Today I got three copies of this post about "Life is a Gift" that contained this supposed poem about a blind girl whose boyfriend donated his eyes so she could see in hopes that she would marry him..but when she could see she saw that he was blind and couldn't bear to be saddled with looking at his closed eyelids day after day, or something like that.

We live in a world of deadlines and ultimatums. Everything around us has some semblance of order and routine and a measure of schedule to live within. I freely admit to being one of those people who struggles with schedules and routine.  I like order and routine, but it just doesn't like living with me very well.

Today I was trying to login to an online account to update some settings and for the life of me, I couldn't remember the password I had set up. I tried all three of the ones I usually use with no success.

Hi Rose, If you don't know about them already, you should check out the Security Now! podcasts. Episode 101, "Are you Human?", had a nice discussion of "captcha" technology. Mark
