Congratulations! You’re a winner!

I got home this afternoon to find a large flat envelope in my mailbox. Inside was a full page letter congratulating me on winning an online contest at CourtTV for the savemyhusband contest.  I really enjoyed the contest, solving a bunch of riddles and puzzles was something I had a lot of fun with. I never actually planned on winning anything.  But here it was, in all its glory…my winnings for answering all the daily puzzles correctly. $4.16! Now, I never actually expected to receive anything from the contest. It was just a lot of fun playing the game.  Since the sponsor was Appleby’s restaurant, I would have loved just to get a gift certificate for a free entree or something.

But I guess there were 6000 others like me going on the site daily to find out the puzzles and answer the questions.  It probably cost the company more than $4.16 to send out all those checks and letters!  But it got me to thinking…maybe a contest like that is something I should do online…

For now, I’m just basking in the amazing thrill of being……….a winner! heheheh  And I can almost buy my lunch at Appleby’s with my winnings.
