Critters are SO Entertaining

I love watching birds come to my feeders, especially hummingbirds. Our feeder has been getting a lot of attention, but it’s on the front porch while I’m in the office, and I thought it would be nice to get one of those suction cup hangers and put the feeder at my office window so I could enjoy watchng them during the day. I hung the feeder last night and first thing this morning I saw the hummers buzz around to eat. But having the feeder on that window provided more entertainment than I expected!
This window is also the place where our cats love to come and go during the day. They use the window (that opens onto our deck) as their personal kitty door. And since we put the shelf by the window, it’s a favorite napping spot for them as well. This morning Tippy was snoozing on her spot and I heard the familiar buzz of the hummingbird. I glanced over to see Tippy, whiskers twitching and ears all perky, face to face with a humming bird! The little bird decided to check out the surroundings and hovered in front of the open window. Tippy was startled to see this creature looking right at her while she was dozing. I can only assume she didn’t attempt to catch it because it sounded like a bee. I’m sure it was the biggest “bee” she’d ever seen!
