Juxtaposition

Scanning the local obits today, I came across the usual assortment of obits and memoriams, and it crossed my mind to wonder why people post the memorial ads. I realize dealing with grief is a long process and missing someone you love hurts, so maybe they get some solace from posting these. Some are written about their loved ones, but others are written TO them. Seriously now, do they think their loved ones read the local paper beyond the grave?
