Month #6 Without TV
February is our sixth month since we shut down our cable TV. I wondered how the kids and grandkids would handle it, and even more how my husband would handle not having the news channels. But I have to say that overall, we haven’t missed it. We aren’t totally cut off from the media, because we have the internet and everyone can find stuff they want to do or see online. One observation is that we need to adjust our eating habits. For years we would eat in front of the TV, like so many others do. Fix a plate and carry it to the living room to watch a show while we ate. Even now, when it’s mealtime, that habit is still there. Grab your food and head to the living room and pop in a DVD to watch. Maybe we should move the TV into the dining room…LOL
