I Love a Good Thunderstorm

One of my favorite things in the Blue Ridge is watching thunderstorms roll in.  From these hills you can see a storm approach long before it reaches your area.  The lightning can be really impressive, and you can see it for miles around. One summer night we watched a storm come through, and about an hour later, saw flashes of light south of us.  We assumed a storm was hitting town in the center of the county, but it turned out we were watching lightning in Greensboro, North Carolina! Sometimes we see lightning in colors, like purple and bright green. Usually we will gather on the porch to watch a storm as a family, just enjoying the show together, unless it’s one of those fierce ones that comes up with such intensity you don’t dare stay outdoors.  With that in mind, I thought you might enjoy hearing one of our favorite songs about storms.
