From the not-so-bright department of online scammers comes this fascinating e-mail. The letter came from “Reservation Departament” which should tell you it doesn’t come from inside the US. The subject line says, “Wrong transaction from your credit card in Mauna Kea Beach.” Now, I’ve never been to Mauna Kea Beach, and have no clue where it is, but I would assume Hawaii. We are sorry to inform you that on July 26th, 2011 Hotel made an error transaction from your credit card for an overall amount of $1426.
This partner hotel was divested accreditation in Booking Company with reference of noncompliance of the service contract.
For the return of funds please contact your bank and fill information in the attached form.
The detailed copy of made writing-down you can find in the attachment.
As Company is not responsible for money transactions and acts as intermediary you can seize the court directly to return the funds from the Hotel.
