The flu done flew away
We’ve been battling with the flu bug at our place for the last two weeks. Fortunately it wasn’t as bad as in years past, this bug was annoying, but not particularly devastating. Just another cycle to endure in the scheme of things, I guess.
We battled, as usual, with an arsenal of natural remedies…mostly water. The cough that came with the bug was about as rough as any of the cases of pneumonia I’ve experienced, but we found the water therapy (drink a smal glass of water every ten minutes for an hour) was better than any cough syrup we’ve tried. Add to that at least ten minutes twice a day of slow, deep breathing outside. Green tea was available, too, and some zinc/echinacea lozenges.
It feels good to feel good again. And feeling better on top of this unseasonably warm weather is just amazing. I’m a February baby, my birthday is next week…and I don’t remember EVER having a warm spell like this around my birthday. That’s a lotta years, too (but I’m not counting them anymore)
